Together, the EPS and Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) serve as the backbone for organizing projects and securing data within Primavera. What is the best way to configure the EPS and OBS? How can you be sure that projects are secure yet accessible to the right users? During this one day workshop, our team will help you to make important decisions that affect EPS and OBS design. P6-502: Calendars Configuration Workshop (1 Day)
Calendars perform a vital function within Primavera P6. Calendars are used to coordinate the timing of work and determine the availability of resources. For many organizations, creating standardized calendar definitions is often overlooked. As a result, calendars are poorly defined, confused and misused. What is the difference between a Global Calendar and a Project Calendar? What are Resource Calendars and when should they be used? Which calendar should be designated as the "Default" calendar and why does it matter?
Lack of definition and discipline around the use of calendars results in schedules that are uncertain and resources that are unavailable. Without proper definition and guidance, your calendars dictionary can become infested with meaningless data.
